मेलबर्न । वैज्ञानिक डा.राजु अधिकारीसहित विभिन्न क्षेत्रमा क्रियाशील आठ उत्कृष्ट व्यक्तिलाई अष्ट्रेलियामा अवार्ड प्रदान गरिएको छ । लुम्बिनी–कपिलवस्तु ग्लोबल क्याम्पेनले १५औँ वार्षिकोत्सवका अवसरमा अवार्ड प्रदान गरिएको हो ।

राप्रपाका अध्यक्ष तथा पूर्वउपप्रधानमन्त्री राजेन्द्र लिङ्देन प्रमुख आथित्यतामा आठ उत्कृष्ट नेपाली व्यक्तिलाई सम्मान प्रदान गरिएको हो ।

मोहन बम, डा.अधिकारी , डा.खगेन्द्र थापा, सल्मा बहमुदम, विवेक श्रेष्ठ, अन्जु अधिकारीलगायतलाई सम्मान गरिएको हो । सो अवसरमा अध्यक्ष लिङ्देनले नेपालको पहिचानलाई जीवित राख्न र भ्रष्टाचार, नातावादलाई शून्य सहनशीलता एवम सुशासनमा आधारित दिगो, पारदर्शी र जवाफदेही बनाउन सरकारलाई दबाब दिनुपर्ने बताए ।

उनले नेपाललाई हिन्दू राष्ट्र बनाउन आफ्नो पार्टी प्रतिबद्ध रहेको बताए । उनले संस्थागत भ्रष्टाचारको जरा नउकाएसम्म मुलुक अगाडि बढ्न नसक्ने बताए ।

RPP President and former Deputy Prime Minister Rajendra Lingden was the chief guest at a special award ceremony event organized by Lumbini-Kapilvastu Global Campaign on its 15th anniversary. Eight outstanding Nepalese personalities Mohan Bam, 5th Australian National Judo title holder, Dr. Raju Adhikari an acclaimed international scientist in the biomedical field; Dr. Khagendra Thapa, recipient of the Premier Sustainability Award 2015 of Victoria, Australia; Salma Bahamdun, black belt recipient in Taekwondo at the age of 9; Parikshit Shrestha, winner of various state and national level awards in body building; very popular singer from Kandra Band Vivek Shrestha, successful model and event organizer Sunod Shrestha, recipient of 2023 ‘Top 100 South Asian Innovation Business Leaders Victoria’ and featuring model in many music videos Anju Adhikari were felicitated on the occasion.

Speaking in the program the Chief Guest Hon. Lingden said that his party is committed to keep Nepal identity alive and to bring a sustainable, transparent and accountable Government with zero tolerance to corruption, nepotism based on good governance as Hindu Rashtra. He further underlined that without removing the root of institutionalized corruption the country cannot move forward.

Global Coordinator Shrestha briefed about activities and nationally and internationally important achievements of the campaign to dismiss the misconception on Buddha’s birthplace. Mr. Shrestha clarified that fulfilling the objective of the campaign is the job of Nepal government, however; even government is not listening to the suggestions given by the campaign that could have global impact, and this made public level effort to continue for about one and half decade. Mr. Shrestha informed that he developed ‘Lumbini Diplomacy’ concept and handed over to former Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda in a felicitation program to former minister and ambassadors for their jobs contributing to the campaign’s motto achievement and the objective of the concept is to move forward jointly with Nepal government without friction and no financial burden to the government. Mr. Shrestha put few suggestions that RPP could and needs to do in the near future.

Representing the awardees senior scientist Dr. Raju Adhikari said that Nepal future lies in investing science, technology and innovation in knowledge revolution age and said that the objective of the campaign has national and international importance, and there is no doubt that party like RPP will support this campaign and follow up with the Government for the implementation of its recommendations.

On the occasion Ananta Paudel announced his candidacy for the upcoming local elections in Australia and explained the purpose of his candidacy.

RPP Spokesperson, Kosi Pradesh Parliamentary Party leader and former Agriculture Minister of Kosi Province Bhakti Prasad Sitaula, RPP Foreign Department Chief Anand Adhikari, RPP Central Committee Member Hikmat Jang Karki, Nirajan Gouli, Honorary Consul to Victoria from Nepal and representatives of various organizations were present in the event.

After the conclusion of the said program, RPP President and former Deputy Prime Minister Rajendra Lingden went to Shri Pashupatinath temple at Cranbourne established by Nepali Astha Hindu Society of Victoria and offered prayers and interacted with the community. Before felicitation program by the campaign, RPP team attended an interactive meet and greet program organized by the Hon Consul Niranjan Gouli with the leaders and representatives of the Nepali community organization of Victoria and answered the questions raised by the participants.
